The second project I did with the boys down at Golden Saddle Cyclery in Los Angeles. These aren’t just bottles, they’re vessels! The design is inspired by native Acoma pottery patterns dating back 800 years. Even when the design is newly painted and updated to include the subtle “G”, “S”, “C” it stays true to the history of these shapes and the pottery it has adorned for centuries.
The pattern was first hand drawn and then painted in ink to closely recreate a similar technique as the acoma potters used. Staying true to the process ensures that the lines and shapes also remain true. Ink was ultimately digitized before the good people over at Specialized printed the bottles. All in all a great project from start to finish.
